a letter from clothing

To start off this project I wrote a letter as a sweater to a new owner and placed it in the pocket of a sweater at Buffalo Exchange. I decided to do this because if I ever found this in a sweater I bought it would make it more special. The letter says:

Dear new user,
I have been abandoned and am in search of a new owner. I feel incomplete without
the warmth of my other half; when we are together, we become one. I promise I will be the one you can throw on with a pair of jeans or sweats when you are looking for comfort, the one who will wipe your tears away when you are feeling down. Like a warm hug, I will wrap my fabric around you. I will accompany you throughout your life, through health and sickness and during your greatest memories. I long for nothing more than to be of great use to you, to go through many washes in the laundry until I am reunited with you. I am enthused that you would pick me out of the many other sweaters on this rack. We were meant to be together.

Love Always,

Mr. Sweater
